Technical Director U14-U19
Chris Brown, Head Coach of the University of San Francisco Men’s Soccer Team, joins the SF Seals in the capacity of Technical Director for Seals teams. Chris will work directly with Seals Coaches to continue developing their coaching practice, and to help players and parents better understand the process of collegiate soccer.
Chris holds a UEFA B Coaching license and has experience both playing and coaching at the professional level.
He made his way to USF as an associate head coach at WCC rival St. Mary’s; He coached at St. Marys for 10 years. Prior to that he served as an assistant coach for the NASL SF Deltas. As a player Chris played at Boston University, and as a 3 year captain that lead the Eagles program to their first-ever ACC regular season and tournament titles. In 2007 Chris was apart United States Olympic Team Pool. In 2008 he was voted ACC Goalkeeper of the Year. He followed up his collegiate career by playing professional soccer in Norway.
As someone who has dedicated his life to playing soccer and to coaching, Chris understands the importance of building a program’s culture on and off the field. We are excited to have Chris join the Seals!
