SF SEALS NORCAL PREMIER & NPL PROGRAM


SF Seals are a proud member of the NorCal Premier competitive soccer league which serves a large area of the Northern California. The mission of NorCal Premier is to elevate soccer by developing players, clubs, coaches, and referees. They accomplish this by offering the complete spectrum of competition levels for boys and girls in every age group from 4v4 U8 all the way to U19 men and women.


 Seals competitive program provides licensed coaches committed to player development, dedicated leadership and        experienced technical staff,  the option for Goalkeeper training and fitness/agility training - at no addl cost,  one tournament, and some of our teams travel abroad to participate in International Soccer tournaments such as Gothia Cup, Sweden's International Youth Soccer tournament aka the World Cup for Youth Soccer.

Key Highlights For 2025-26 Program

  • One fee covers all training and games throughout the program.
  • Seals have nearly 50 boys and girls NorCal Premier teams in every age group from U8 to U19, competing in various playing divisions ranging from Bronze to NPL.
  • MLS NEXT, NorCal NPL and Premier competitive programs includes Video recording.
  • One regional tournament is included in all NorCal competitive programs. Teams decide on either a spring or fall tournament.
  • Additional club training ranging from age-based scrimmages to conditioning/fitness/agility/speed workouts and specialized Goalkeeper training are included with no additional charges. 
  • State Cup competition is included in Seals NorCal NPL, Premier, and Gold competitive programs.
  • NorCal Premier runs the State Cup, a large regional tournament played over the course of each year. NorCal State Cup draws teams from all 9 regions competing for unified championships, in multiple divisions based on a team ranking system.

Looking to join a team? For players that missed tryouts and have not signed with a club team, Seals can arrange for players to attend one of our trainings, where a Seals coach can provide feedback and possibly offer a spot, if one is available.

  • TRYOUT DATES CONFIRMED: MAY 2 - MAY 3, 2026
  • 2026-27 season registration begins after tryouts:                                               

        5/5 for returning players signings begin and 5/6 new player signings begin

  • Annual Financial and Play commitment (fall league games, winter training, and spring league games)
  • SF Residency Requirements & Player Committal Form due from every player.
  • Team Practice Kicks off the week of 9/1/2025.  Practices run from 9/1-11/21
  • League Games Kick Off the week of 9/6.  Games run from 9/6-11/23
  • Practice Field Location TBD based on SFRPD field draft allocations.


SF Seals abide by SFRPD (SF Recreation and Park Department) residency requirements for each team competing in NorCal.  Seals meets these requirements in order to receive SFRPD field permits for practice and games.  Teams U15 and up are allowed to have three non SF residents on the team and U14 and under are allowed to have two non SF residents on the team. 


In addition to residency requirements, SFRPD mandates each player submit a player commitment form for fall AND spring seasons.  Seals collect these forms from parents and submit them to SFRPD.
