Full Age Pathway: U13 through U19
In 2025, MLS Next awarded SF Seals with a full age group pathway!
SF Seals will field six MLS Development teams, including U13, U14, U15, U16, U17, and U19 teams that train 3 times a week and play league games. Additionally, we have systematically added a U12 pre-MLSNext age group which will play NPL, under the NorCal Premier banner.
The SF Seals MLS Next partnership focuses on creating an elite training environment for top-tier players to develop and compete at the highest level of youth soccer. Seals are the only MLS Next club, in San Francisco, to provide a low cost playing model. Seals are committed to broadening the playing field by increasing opportunities for all talented soccer players. Players pay for the cost of their uniforms and reduced club fees that cover league registration and practice field rentals.
Our participation in MLS Next means our players will be exposed to the highest level of competition and training opportunities. SF Seals are proud to offer an elite coaching staff comprised of experienced professionals who are dedicated to player development and fostering the potential of our players. Together we are shaping the future of youth soccer in the SF Bay Area, and we invite your player to join us.

The MLS Next Youth Development platform is a partnership between Major League Soccer and the top youth clubs, nationally. The partnership provides the top youth players in the country with an environment designed to produce the next generation of collegiate, professional, and National team players.
Youth Soccer Reimagined
MLS NEXT is the most elite platform for youth player development in North America. With a commitment to innovation and providing access and representation, MLS NEXT players receive the best training and coaching as they prepare for their futures, both in soccer and in life. Teams travel nationally and train for 10 months. Currently offered for boys but girls may be rostered.
The Next Generation
MLS Next is the top league in North America for boys’ youth soccer. Current membership includes 133 clubs, 590 teams, 11,000+ players across the U.S. and Canada and features over 90% of the current youth national team player pools. While winning games will always be important, MLS NEXT believes success is measured by the growth and development of each player – becoming a better player, growing as a person, attending college and signing a professional contract are the true benchmarks of their success.
MLS Next sets the highest standard for player development. MLS Next gives players the opportunity to play at the highest level and be exposed to professional scouts, increased training and competitive playing opportunities..
